The well know german magazine, Bild am Sonntag, has announced this week, the winning models of the 31st edition of the prestigious Golden Wheel. Here are the winners of the Golden Wheel 2006:

• 1st place in the Mini class: MINI (BMW Group)
• 1st place in the Compact class: Volvo C30
• 1st place in the Medium-Superior class: Lexus IS
• 1st place in the Cabrio category: Volkswagen Eos
• 1st place in the Coupe category: Mercedes CL
• 1st place in the Recreation Vehicles category: Hymer B-Klasse
