Nissan 350Z won the award of Performance Car of the Year for 2007 in Japan. The Nissan 350Z Coupe managed to beat competitors like Mazda RX-8, Mitsubishi Evo IX and Subaru Impreza. The main criterias for this choice were the model’s design, the high level of technology of the equipment and the quality vs price raport.

Chris Rees, editor for Performance Car of the Year for 2007 from Japan, explained the success of the Nissan 350Z: “Nissan 350Z gathers everything we like to see in a japanese car. Its a true sports car with the 3.5litre V6, a well equiped model, nicely built with an incredible value. Its the best car in the world that costs less then 50,000 euro.”

At the same competition was chosen the best european car of the year 2007. The winner of this competition is the Alfa Romeo Brera.
