Auto Express published today a information saying that Opel is preparing a new compact SUV, starting from the concept car Chevrolet Prisma Y, that was presented at the brazilian auto show from Sao Paolo (photos). The future model will enter the market as direct  competitor to VW Tiguan and Ford Focus Allroad. Based on the Astra platform, the Opel SUV will position himself below Antara in the Opel lineup. The debut will probably be in 2009.

I always enjoy a new SUV :P. The more competition the better the quality and smaller the prices. So I say, bring it on!
