Renault Megane GT

Well, he, that gave me a smile. While reading my blog you’ll probably discover sooner or later that I don’t really enjoy Renault cars. The problem is not that much with their looks, but with their quality and service prices. Absolutely horrible, atleast where I live.

Anyway, to get back to the Renault Megane GT. It’s the second model after Laguna GT to receive this GT title, but allow me to remain a bit skeptical. It could be said that it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing …. hmm, no … it’s definetly a sheep in sheep’s clothing. If you slap a GT badge on a car I expect it to have power. This one got a laughable 165HP for the top version and I can bet you that it will have a price on it that will blow your wallet to bits. You might aswell buy the Caliber SRT-4 that I wrote about in the previous article. 303 HP … now that’s how a GT car should be packed.

If you’re a family man, then you might go for the 0-100km/h in 8.3 sec because of the 5.4liters fuel consumption. But hell, a true GT should pollute the planet like no other car would and run like the roadrunner. This one is pathetic. Don’t get me wrong, it might be good for a family car, but don’t buy it because it has the GT badge on it. Just …. don’t.
